Minna Salami was born in Finland, grew up in Nigeria and studied in Sweden. She has also lived and worked in Spain and New York. She currently resides in London. She writes about issues that affect African Diaspora women, and is not afraid to speak her mind. She is the founder of MsAfropolitan, a lifestyle and culture-analytical blog highlighting topics that are relevant particularly, but not exclusively, to cosmopolitan African women. MsAfropolitan aims to be a source for empowerment, analysis and celebration of the African Diaspora woman and her multifarious journey towards global impact.
The blog covers topics such as feminism, afropolitanism, sex, fashion, books, race and religion and has been running since 2008. In August this year the MsAfropolitan Boutique launched as a complement to the blog, selling a handpicked range of products made by African Diaspora women.
